NanoXplore: A New French FPGA Design

I came across a new family of radiation-hardened FPGAs from a French company, called NanoXplore. These parts are being evaluated for space applications be CERN.

One of the more interesting aspects of their approach is that they are developing their own Python-based toolchain for synthesis, place and route.

You can read more about the chip’s measured radiation tolerance in this presentation deck, linked here.
